Ashley Camhi

Ashley Camhi is a new PhD student in the Ecology, Economics, and Ethics of the Environment (4E) track under the Biology and Society program. She will be working under the mentorship of Dr. Charles Perrings and Dr. Joshua Abbott. Ashley's interests lie in the role of the economic valuation of ecosystem services in the design of infrastructure projects, particularly roads and hydropower in Latin America and the Caribbean. In addition she is interested in the impact of market based mechanisms for conservation.

Ashley possesses a masters degree in International Environmental Policy from the Monterey Institiute of International Studies and a bachelors degree in Environmental Studies from Vassar College. She has spent the majority of her professional career working for multilateral development banks on the design of payments for ecosystem service schemes and the integration of ecosystem services into development loans.
