Ryan Davila

Ryan is a Biology and Society Ph.D. student on the Ecology, Economics, and Ethics of the Environment (4E) track and is mentored by Dr. Ann Kinzig. Ryan has always been interested in ecology with a specific focus on conservation biology. Ryan’s research interests center around ecotourism and the effects that these businesses are having on biodiversity within nature reserves around the world. He hopes that with this research he can work hand-in-hand with these businesses to make them more sustainable over time and to better preserve these protected areas.

Ryan graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2015 with a B.S. in Biological Sciences, a B.A. in Political Science, and a Minor in Sustainability. He hopes to pursue a career with the United Nations or the International Union for the Conservation of Nature upon graduating from ASU to work on the international issues of conservation.
